“I have had the pleasure of working with the incomparable Manchester Show Choir 3 times now, (once as they accompanied Hayley down the aisle!) and have found them professional, super talented and huge fun to be around. That their fabulous voices are singing out to raise money for Christie's makes my association with them all the sweeter.”
Julie Hesmonhalgh (Coronation Street's Hayley Cropper)
The Manchester Show Choir was launched in September 2009 and is now one of the biggest and most prestigious choirs in the North West. We have over 80 members and regularly perform a selection of pop hits and musical theatre anthems at venues across the region and beyond.
MSC was formed by our Creative Director Daniel Wood. Daniel is a professional theatre producer who has produced UK Tours of musicals and concerts including 'Rent', 'The Songs of Sister Act' and 'West End Women'. Daniel is joined by our Musical Director Andrew Smith and Vocal Coach Caroline Sceats. Between them, they share over 30 years worth of experience working professionally within the entertainment industry.
We have had the fantastic opportunity to appear on many high profile TV shows including Don't Stop Believing (Channel 5), The Apprentice (BBC), Shameless (Channel 4), Don't Tell The Bride (BBC) and many many appearances on Coronation Street (ITV). We have also appeared on the TV advert for Bernard Matthews Turkey Drummers. We also filmed a new BBC 1 drama 'Wanderlust', which aired recently and is now available on Netflix Worldwide! Just before the pandemic we filmed 4 episodes of BBC Drama 'The A Word'.
