On Saturday June 30th 2012, MSC will be performing their biggest concert to date, Choir Anthems at The Palace Theatre Manchester.

This spine-tingling concert will see the 120-strong choir perform contemporary musical anthems including Chasing Cars, Hey Jude, Fix You and Rule the World as you have never heard them before. This concert is a great night our for all of the family which promises to be uplifting, inspirational and extremely entertaining.

In March, 50 singers from the Manchester Show Choir went away for the weekend to Anglesey.

We had an absolutely fantastic time with choir members participating in many activites including Rock Climbing, Abseiling and even Coasteering! There was of course lots of singing too! We were proud to launch the MSC Mash-Up of the Year Competition, where in small groups of 8-10 our members created their very own mash-ups. The final performances were amazing but our winning team really did have it all… great harmonies, great choreography and even an MSC Rap!

Christmas Lights Switch On

On Thursday 10th November, MSC performed in front of over 20,000 people as part of the Manchester Christmas Lights switch-on. They opened the concert, hosted by Key 103′s Mike and Chelseas with their rendition of CeeLo Greens ‘Forget You’ and Madonna’s ‘Like A Prayer’. The audience loved the performance and sang along to both numbers. Following their performance, the concert was headlined by Nicola Roberts (Girls Aloud) and Tinchy Strider. Members of MSC had a great night and we hope to be invited back next year!

Christmas On Broadway

Featuring the Manchester Show Choir and Guests

This fantastic family concert was a festive celebration of the best-loved musicals of Broadway and will feature a selection of Christmas sing-a-long songs and carols.

The production featured the 100 strong Manchester Show Choir and a number of guest celebrity vocalists from the cast of Coronation Street . Featuring hits from Evita, Les Miserables and many, many more, this is a must-see Christmas Concert that guaranteed to get the audience in the mood for a fabulous, fun Christmas!

Christmas Busking

MSC were out in force last Christmas, performing each weekend in December across Manchester City Centre. They performed a selection of festive hits to raise money for The Christie Hospital.

Performances were held at Piccadilly Gardens, Selfridges, The Trafford Centre and The Manchester Cathedral. Once again the choir raised thousands of pounds for The Christie!

Another Corrie Wedding!

MSC recently returning to the cobbles of Weatherfield for the wedding of the year! We performed a beautiful arrangement of ‘Your Song’ at the wedding of Sian and Rosie. Our performance thankfully was a lot more succesful than the wedding, which didn’t go ahead after poor Sophie was jilted at the alter!

Fundraising Events

MSC have recently performed at the Make A Wish Foundation’s annual ball performing alongside the cast of Coronation Street. The event was held at The Palace Hotel in October and raised well over £50,000. MSC also performed at The Hilton Hotel in October, this time for a black tie dinner to raise money for The Christie. This event also featured cast members from Corrie and Emmerdale and was attended my many celebs including Sally Lindsey, Michelle Collins and Ted Robbins!

Motown Magic at The Printworks

Having performed to sell out theatres across the North West and in a number of high profile National TV shows, MSC offer a unique sound to their listeners and every penny they make goes to The Christie Hospital.
