Christmas Lights Switch On

On Thursday 10th November, MSC performed in front of over 20,000 people as part of the Manchester Christmas Lights switch-on. They opened the concert, hosted by Key 103′s Mike and Chelseas with their rendition of CeeLo Greens ‘Forget You’ and Madonna’s ‘Like A Prayer’. The audience loved the performance and sang along to both numbers. Following their performance, the concert was headlined by Nicola Roberts (Girls Aloud) and Tinchy Strider. Members of MSC had a great night and we hope to be invited back next year!

Christmas On Broadway

Featuring the Manchester Show Choir and Guests

This fantastic family concert is a festive celebration of the best-loved musicals of Broadway and will feature a selection of Christmas sing-a-long songs and carols.

The production will feature the 140 strong Manchester Show Choir and a number of guest celebrity vocalists from the cast of Coronation Street . Featuring hits from Evita, Les Miserables and many, many more, this is a must-see Christmas Concert that guarantees to get you in the mood for a fabulous, fun Christmas!

Ticket prices start at £15.50 for Adults (£14.50 + £1.00 booking fee) and £13.50 (£12.50 + £1.00 booking fee) concessions for children (15 and under) and OAP’s.

Christmas Busking

MSC will be out in force this Christmas performing across Manchester City Centre. We will be performing a selection of festive hits to raise money for The Christie Hospital. We can be seen at Piccadilly Gardens on Saturday 3rd and 10th December from 11.30am to 4.30pm. We will be at Selfridges in The Trafford Centre on Saturday 3rd and Saturday 17th December from 11.30am to 5.15pm. We will be at Victoria Station in Manchester on Saturday 17th December from 2.00pm to 7.00pm.

TV Beckons!

Once again MSC will be returning to the cobbles of Weatherfield this Christmas! We will be performing at the wedding of Sian and Rosie. The storyline is top secret, but we can tell you that this is a wedding that you will not want to miss!

Fundraising Events

MSC have recently performed at the Make A Wish Foundation’s annual ball performing alongside the cast of Coronation Street. The event was held at The Palace Hotel in October and raised well over £50,000. MSC also performed at The Hilton Hotel in October, this time for a black tie dinner to raise money for The Christie. This event also featured cast members from Corrie and Emmerdale and was attended my many celebs including Sally Lindsey, Michelle Collins and Ted Robbins!

Motown Magic at The Printworks

Manchester Show Choir are one of the most prestigious choirs in the UK. Having performed to sell out theatres across the North West and in a number of high profile National TV shows, MSC offer a unique sound to their listeners and every penny they make goes to The Christie Hospital. Their latest repertoire includes hits from the Motown era. Featuring songs such as ‘Knock on Wood’ and ‘Say A Little Prayer’, these exclusive one hour concerts will have you dancing in the street!

Welcoming back to The Orient Main Stage Manchester’s most prestigious choir. Manchester Show Choir will be performing a selection of hits from the Motown era including ‘Knock on Wood’, ‘Say A Little Prayer’ and ‘Son of a Preacher Man’.
Performances take place at:12noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm & 4pm.

Reserve your place now at our first rehearsal of the new year at MSC. The £10 charge covers the cost of your registration fee and a registration pack. Rehearsals are then £6.00 per session.

Remember, you do not need to audition and you will not be asked to sing on your own! MSC is open to all!

MSC get three yes’s from BGT judges

MSC recently auditioned for this years Britain’s Got Talent. Performing ‘Like A Prayer/Living on a Prayer’, we received a standing ovation from the 2000 strong crowd, who were led by judge Amanda Holden.

Hailed as a choir who ‘the Queen will love’ and who ‘represent Britain’ we were overwhelmed by the response from the judges and were thrilled to beat 40,000 other acts to be one of the 200 acts through to the final audition stages. But will we make the live finals? Watch this space! Either way, we have done ourselves proud and have yet again promoted the good work of The Christie to the nation.
